It’s time to raise a glass to the weekend! Not because the weekend means sleeping in, lazing about, and partying with friends. Those days are long gone. We’re parents, after all, so we drink on Friday as a way to decompress after a busy week and before heading into the hardest part: the days when the kids are home the whole time.

Every Friday, we’ll be posting a cocktail recipe to raise a glass to another week of ass kicking and to help you get through Saturday and Sunday. We’ll also share a mocktail recipe, because who are we kidding. One glass of wine and we’re out. Or, you know, we’re knocked up or our kids are always stealing our drink or…

We get it.

So, cheers. Drink up. Monday will be here before you know it.

Memorial Day cocktail recipe: Berry White Wine Sangria | Tasty Trials

We’re getting our patriotic spirit on this holiday weekend with a White Wine Berry Sangria that we found at Tasty Trials. It’s the perfect way to serve up red, white, and blue without going all crazy technicolor. Plus, this drink is a perfect light sip to toast the unofficial beginning of summer.

Memorial Day mocktail recipe: Red, White, and Blue Smoothie | Earthly Feast

This Red, White, and Blue Smoothie at Earthly Feast is a super fun way to serve up patriotism this Memorial Day. Made with tons of healthy fruit and tasty juice, it’s a delicious sip that doesn’t need booze to bring a good time. Or, you can spike it. A little coconut rum in the white smoothie might be nice for those who drink alcohol but with flavors this fresh, I think it’s perfect just as it is, and the kids might even get into it too.
