If you’re looking for some extra-special treats for your kids’ Easter baskets this year, look no further than some of our very favorite gourmet Easter candy finds.
Or more likely, we say skip the kids’ baskets entirely and just order these for yourself or some lucky adults in your life. (The kids will be fine with the bag of M&Ms you grab in the checkout line at the grocery, right?)
For those of us with (ahem) finer tastes, or a special treat for your SigOth, your sitter, or a favorite teacher, we think a splurge on these gourmet treats for Easter may be in order.

There are quite a few beautiful choices for gourmet Easter candy at Maggie Louise Confections, from adorable bunnies and farm-fresh eggs to an assortment of spring veggies, all made of chocolate. But I’m swooning over these brightly colored gourmet chocolate Easter eggs that are filled with peanut butter and finished off with edible gold leaf. Yaaasssss!
From 24-karat gold-covered chocolate bunnies (shown at very top) to chocolate dipped Matzah just like Moses would have had (ha), we’re drooling over the selection of gourmet Easter and Passover chocolates from Compartés.. They even have an entirely edible Easter basket made of gourmet chocolate itself Wow.
From the egg-carton packaging to the detailed speckling on the eggs, we think these gourmet chocolate truffle eggs found at Williams-Sonoma would make a gorgeous hostess gift for an Easter brunch. They’re more affordable than some gourmet chocolates too, especially considering you get 18 truffles in 3 different flavors.
There are a lot of incredible candies for Easter over from CME-favorite Chicago chocolatier Vosges, like clementine ginger toffee (dying) and an exotic truffle collection. But I have my eye on their wandering chocolate rabbits with gourmet fillings like strawberry-lemon, pink peppercorn, Michigan blueberry, or fragrant French lavender. Hands off, kids, these are allllll for mama.
Li-Lac is Manhattan’s oldest chocolatier and our NYC-area editors are major fans, Their Easter treats are traditional, in the best way possible, from their gourmet chocolate bunny (made fresh-to-order, by the way) to their Vintage Chocolate Easter Eggs, chocolate eggs filled with chocolate candies.
Should you not be able to drop by their Chelsea Market location, reach out online for gourmet Easter candies. They can even design a custom Easter basket for you fairly affordably, which can make a busy life that much easier.
At Sugarfina, you can design your own Easter bunny basket which is perfect considering they offer too many favorite gourmet Easter candies to choose just one.
A pink-chocolate Bunny Bark bar would be a splurgy treat for my kids, and I’d definitely have to include one of their Victorian panoramic eggs, which was always a tradition in our house. For the grownups, I’m all over those Champagne bubble nonpareils, which burst with the flavor of fine bubbly when you bite into them.
We love the classic Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit around our house, so I’d love to add Williams-Sonoma’s adorable Peter Rabbit candy-filled maché egg to an Easter basket. If you want to complete the theme, add in a stuffed Gund Peter Rabbit and the Peter Rabbit book. Sweet!
