Lately I’ve been researching (and um, sampling) my way through the best low-sugar Trader Joe’s snacks. I always like to be prepared for my son’s after school munchies — also his morning, afternoon, and evening munchies. Because this toddler loves to eat.

They may not look like much, but these crackers absolutely shine when paired with a nice whipped feta or slice of cheddar. Honestly, they taste pretty darn great with any type of dairy product you choose to slather on, and at 6g of sugar per serving, you can do so guilt-free.

ABC bars 

I love snack bars because I can just pop them into the diaper bag and break them out whenever someone needs a protein boost, even if that someone is me. But it’s tough to find any bars that aren’t packed with sugar, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover these ABC bars which use naturally sweet almond butter to keep the sugar count at an impressively low 6 grams per serving.

It packs a lot of nutrition into a small package, too; the blueberries deliver antioxidants, while the hemp brings the Omega-3 to make your brain happy. It’s a convenient choice to have on hand for parents, and for kids who are old enough to chew nuts.
