Chrissy Teigan fans, raise your hands! (Oh look…it’s all of us!) If you’re not already following every single hilarious word she tweets, allow us to point you to her brand new food blog, Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, named for her best-selling 2016 cookbook.
As you can imagine — if you know this witty, ballsy, culture-dominating model, TV host and dedicated home cook — you are in for a food blog that’s uh… not quite your typical food blog. And who can’t use more laughter in their lives right now?

Wondering what a food site from Chrissy will be all about? Maybe start with the description of her New Orleans Style “Dirty Fried Rice” which reads There are lots of ways to get dirty that don’t involve a mud mask or internet porn. This is one of them.
Just as we expected.
And yet, we’re here for more than the double entendres and the cooking mishaps caught on video.

Mmm…. dirty rice.

Follow Chrissy’s invitation to “grab a drink, turn on some Housewives, and let’s cook, talk, do all the things…” and you’ll be entertained by fun writing peppered with emojis, lots of family photos (we love you, Chrissy and John and Luna and Miles!), restaurant recos, instructional videos, and of course, plenty of bookmarkable recipes.
So far, everything we’ve seen looks like a deliciously do-able home-cooked meal that we’d go back for seconds on. Like a 15-minute Japanese Cucumber Salad, Cauliflower Steaks for your Meatless Monday meal planning, a Slow-Cooker Chicken Stroganoff.
Because hey, she’s a busy mom, just like us, so..#teamslowcooker.
There are also nods to her Thai heritage as you might be hoping, with modern twists on classic recipes like Butternut Squash Thai Curry and Thai Tom Yum Pork Ribs.
Not too fancy, but nothing boring either. And always, always entertaining.
Plus, she’s just so down to earth and relatable. Okay so, supermodel thing and massive wealth and fabulous husband aside. Other than that, how refreshing to see a woman who reminds us that it’s really okay to love eating? And it’s okay to mess up in the kitchen too.
As she describes in her Strawberry Shortcake recipe video, Warning, this video contains shards of glass from the bowl I dropped. I joke that I hate baking, I’m just not sure I have the patience! Everything smells so delicious maybe I get distracted.
Can you spot the shards of glass?
Now she has already gotten a little blowback for her LA restaurant guide. Jenn Harris of the LA Times — also one of Chrissy’s pretend best friends BTW — calls her list “a little basic,” but we imagine most of us won’t care. We can look to the LA Times when we want to dig deep into LA’s restaurant scene. As Chrissy explained on twitter, she merely intended it as a running list of places she loves to eat, “and don’t take it too seriously so GOD D*MMIT!”
Speaking of not taking things seriously, log in to create an account and you can ask Chrissy a question. This section is so totally rando and entertaining, it reminds us a bit of Q&A’s from one of our favorite longtime writers, Jenny Lawson, AKA The Bloggess.
In fact, we could totally see a Chrissy-Jenny recipe collab next. We have no idea what it would yield but we would read it top to bottom. Just like the rest of this site.
