Attention Instant Pot devotees! Our favorite kitchen multi-tasker just got even more helpful. And no, not just because we’re now festooning ours with hilarious decals, including the one featuring Ryan Gosling’s face (which is reason enough to get out of bed in the morning).
The same Instant Pot that has been helping me master weeknight dinners has now become my favorite A.M. tool too. Because it turns out that there are loads of great Instant Pot breakfast recipes that you can make once — with hardly any effort — and reheat through your busy weekday mornings.
Go ahead and hit that snooze button (or, more realistically, just linger over coffee longer): You can do it and still serve a healthy breakfast. Perfection.

One of my gluten-free friends sold me on the whole quinoa-as-a-breakfast-food thing, and now that I’ve tried it, I’m never going back. Quinoa packs in tons of protein and retains its texture so much better than other grains that get gummy on a reheat, like oatmeal. Plus, you can give kids the these Make Ahead Instant Pot Quinoa Bowls at Detoxinista and let them garnish with whatever they want, you know, within reason.
For all the savory-insistent folks out there, I present this 5-Ingredient Cheesy Egg Bake at Kitschen Cat, which takes a mere 15 minutes to get on your table and looks amazing. If you’ve got growing kids who like something a little more stick-to-their-ribs in the morning, this is a great bet.
My sister made me a big batch of steel cut oats right when I was postpartum and half-blind with exhaustion, and it really gave me the energy boost I needed to power through. You can doctor your own or try a recipe like this Poppy Seed Carrot Cake Instant Oatmeal at Clean Food Dirty Girl (above & top), which I can’t wait to make. Steel cut oats do get a little more solid as the week goes by, but you can always add a little milk to your bowl, or just slice and eat with a fork like I do.
We’ve posted our favorite yogurts for kids, but if you’re looking for an option that lets you completely control the amount of sugar, this Instant Pot Greek Yogurt at Blackberry Babe is the way to go. Plus, the parfaits in glass jars are adorable and so much more eco-friendly — and thrifty! — than the store bought single serves. Any day that starts this pretty is going to be a good one.
