This year, we decided to shake things up a bit, and rather than feature 5 or so recipes each week as part of our weekly meal plan, we’ll be featuring an amazing food blogger or influencer that we have discovered and think you would love to follow as well, along with a few of their best recipes (at least, according to us, anyway).
Don’t worry, if you are looking for meal plan inspiration, our archives are filled with so many ideas you will never be left thinking “what should I cook next week?”

First up in our series, I am so excited to share one of my very favorite sources of inspiration: Alex Hill at Just Add Hot Sauce. Not only does her website feature unique and mouthwatering recipes, but she has a spectacular Instagram and Pinterest where she posts recipes and videos that are fun and easy to follow. The photos are gorgeous and you can practically taste the flavors emanating from the screen.
Alex Hill is not a professionally trained chef, but she is passionate about food and cooking. She combined her passion for food and cooking with her talents in Marketing/Public Relations, and created her food blog.
The blog itself is grounded in respect and love for her Puerto Rican mother who also taught her that food made with love tastes that much better. “Cooking is love.. made edible” is the quote from her mom that stands on the bottom of her site, and I relate to this so much. In my own kitchen, I use food as a way to bring my family together and express love for everyone who comes into my home.

I promptly added this Jerk Shrimp Mac n Cheese to my meal plan for next week. If your kids may be spice adverse or like “plain” mac and cheese, you can throw together this 3 Ingredient Mac and Cheese for them, and keep the Jerk Shrimp Mac n Cheese all to yourself.
One of my family’s new favorite dishes that I discovered on the Just Add Hot Sauce Instagram feed is this Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich. My kids have never actually eaten at an Arby’s so they don’t understand the reference, but they devoured them and have asked me to make them again nearly every single week. It’s pretty dang good.

And finally, these No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls were also a huge hit around my house, although I had to substitute sunflower butter and omit the walnuts due to a nut allergy. They were still delicious.
