If you ask me, the best part of an ice cream sundae is the toppings. While they tend to be indulgent, I find piling gummy bears and crushed up peanut butter cups on my ice cream way too sweet. I know, I know: The kids disagree, but they can do that when we head to the ice cream parlor. At home, it’s all about these healthier ice cream toppings.
Don’t get scared by the world healthier: These are still pretty decadent tasting, especially if you combine a few. But they also have comparatively lower sugar, no chemicals or additives, and zero artificial colors. Which, of course, means that we can pile them on heavy. Right?
