Liz cannot stop raving about Alamo Drafthouse — it was even her cool pick of the week on this week’s Spawned Podcast. And now I’m hoping my family takes me to one of these Alamo Drafthouse Mother’s Day Brunch Screenings this coming weekend.

In select theaters, you can catch a family-friendly screening of The Sound of Music, Mrs. Doubtfire, or Breakfast at Tiffany’s, along with special multi-course menus that are themed to each movie — your ticket gets you the entire brunch, plus a drink pairing for each course.

I mean, I love my husband and kids and enjoy their sparkling conversation, but something tells me our brunch is going to be that much more fun when there’s a great flick playing too.

You can enjoy Beef Tenderloin Schnitzel while you watch Julie Andrews sing about her favorite things; a Scottish breakfast of Baked Cheddar Cheese Eggs while you watch Robin Williams shine as Euphegenia Doubtfire; and a delicate Tomato Salad to nibble as you covet all of Audrey Hepburn’s outfits.

Personally, I’m all about breaking out my own rendition of Do Re Mi after having polished off a Mimosa. Just you watch.

I even think a gift card for future movie outings would be a great Mother’s Day gift, too.

Check Alamo Drafthouse  for Mother’s Day Brunch Screening times near you and to purchase tickets. Know that children must be 6+ to enter, and accompanied by an adult. So sorry, no dropping your third-graders off alone while you get some free time, moms.
